KentuckyStateUniversity's Special Education Department currently offers an Alternative Teacher Certification Program leading to Certification and Master of Arts in Special Education in the field of Learning and Behavior Disorders.
A major emphasis of the program is to recruit multiethnic individuals into the teaching force to become role models for the rapidly increasing multicultural student population
The program delivers a high-quality curriculum from comprehensively trained faculty. It also provides 24/7/365 technical support in accessing the course content. Students will be provided opportunities to participate in field experiences by engaging in professional collaboration with instructors, and a cohort of fellow teachers via on-line chat sessions and face-to-face interactions through video-conferencing, etc. Candidates can earn up to 100% of the requirements for these degrees online.
